1 Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Inkapify mobile application ("App"), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"), and agree to be legally bound by them.

If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2 Description of the App

Inkapify is a personal finance tracking application that allows users to manually record and organise their income, expenses, transfers, budgets, goals, debts, recurring transactions, and investments. The app includes an optional AI-powered assistant called Inka, which answers questions about your personal financial data using aggregated summaries.

Any financial insights or summaries generated by the App, including those generated by the Inka AI assistant, are for informational and organisational purposes only. Inka AI responses are generated by an AI model and may not always be accurate. Always consult a qualified financial professional for financial decisions.

Offline Functionality

Inkapify is designed to work fully offline. Core features — including adding and viewing transactions, managing budgets, tracking goals and debts, and accessing reports — function without an internet connection. Your data is saved to your device first and synced to cloud backup automatically when online.

3 User Accounts

Registration

You must create an account to use Inkapify. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately via our Contact page if you suspect unauthorised access
• We recommend enabling App Lock (PIN or biometric) for additional security

One Account Per Person

Each account is for a single individual. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their knowledge and consent.

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the App under Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

4 Acceptable Use

You agree to use Inkapify only for lawful, personal finance tracking purposes. You agree NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the App
• Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code through the App
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems
• Attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or abuse the Inka AI assistant
• Circumvent Inka AI usage limits through any technical or non-technical means
• Circumvent subscription or feature gating through any means

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these acceptable use terms.

4A Inka AI Terms of Use

The Inka AI assistant is powered by Google's Gemini AI. By using Inka AI, you agree to the following:

Scope of Use

• Inka AI is designed exclusively for personal finance queries related to your own data
• Do not use Inka AI to attempt to generate content outside personal finance topics
• Inka AI responses are informational only and do not constitute financial advice

No Reliance on AI Responses

Usage Limits

• Free plan: 15 questions per month
• Pro plan: 200 questions per month
• Limits reset on the 1st of each month
• Circumventing usage limits is a violation of these Terms

Privacy

Only aggregated, anonymised financial summaries are sent to Google's Gemini AI. Your raw transactions, personal identifiers, and account details are never shared. We use the Gemini API on a paid plan, under which Google does not use your data to train their AI models. See our Privacy Policy Section 4A for full details.

Google's Terms

Your use of Inka AI is also subject to Google's Gemini API usage policies. See Google Gemini API Terms.

4B PDF Import Terms of Use

The PDF bank statement import feature (Pro plan only) uses Google's Gemini AI to classify extracted transaction data. By using PDF Import, you agree to the following:

How Data Is Processed

• Your PDF is processed on our secure servers — the file itself is never forwarded to any AI service
• Only extracted transaction text (merchant names, dates, amounts) is sent to Google's Gemini AI for classification of unmatched rows
• The PDF is not stored by Inkapify after processing completes

Accuracy

Privacy

Only extracted transaction text is sent to Google's Gemini AI — never the raw PDF, account numbers, banking credentials, or personal identifiers. We use the Gemini API on a paid plan, under which Google does not use your data to train their AI models. See our Privacy Policy Section 4B for full details.

Google's Terms

Your use of PDF Import is also subject to Google's Gemini API usage policies. See Google Gemini API Terms.

4C Receipt Scan Terms of Use

The Receipt Scan feature (Pro plan only) uses Google's Gemini AI Vision to extract transaction details from receipt photos. By using Receipt Scan, you agree to the following:

What You May Scan

• You may only scan receipts for transactions you are personally recording in your own account
• Do not scan documents containing third-party personal or financial information without their consent

Privacy & Data Handling

• Your receipt image is sent to Google's Gemini AI API over an encrypted connection for data extraction only
• The image is immediately discarded after extraction — it is never stored on our servers or by Google
• We use the Gemini API on a paid plan, under which Google does not use your data to train their AI models

Accuracy

Extracted data is presented for your review before saving. Inkapify does not guarantee the accuracy of AI-extracted receipt data. You are responsible for verifying all details before confirming a transaction.

Google's Terms

Your use of Receipt Scan is also subject to Google's Gemini API usage policies. See Google Gemini API Terms.

5 Subscriptions

Inkapify offers a Pro subscription that unlocks additional features including unlimited accounts, budgets, full transaction history, advanced reports, CSV import/export, PDF bank statement import, receipt scanning, and increased Inka AI usage limits.

Plans & Pricing

• Pro Monthly: $4.99/month
• Pro Annual: $39.99/year (save 33% vs monthly)
• Free tier: Always available with core features

Billing

• Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store
• Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in Google Play Store settings

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro access until the period ends. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Google Play Store in accordance with their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. Contact Google Play support for refund requests.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Your continued use of a Pro subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Beta Tier

Users designated as beta testers receive Pro-level access at no charge for a limited period. Beta access may be modified or revoked at any time at our sole discretion.

Grandfathered Users

Early adopters who registered before the introduction of paid subscriptions may receive permanent Pro access at no charge. This is a discretionary benefit and may not be transferred.

Feature Limits on Free Plan

Free plan limits are controlled via remote configuration and may be adjusted from time to time. We will not reduce free tier limits without reasonable notice to users.

6 Donations

Inkapify accepts voluntary one-time donations to support development. By making a donation, you agree to the following:

• Donations are entirely voluntary and do not unlock any features or content
• Donations are non-refundable except where required by Google Play's refund policy
• Donations are processed through Google Play as consumable in-app purchases
• You may donate as many times as you wish with no restrictions
• Donation amounts are fixed tiers set in the Google Play Store

7 Your Data

Ownership

You own all financial data you enter into Inkapify. We do not claim any ownership rights over your personal financial information.

License to Us

By using Inkapify, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you. We do not use your financial data for any other purpose.

Your Responsibility

• You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter
• We recommend regularly exporting your data as a backup using the CSV export feature
• We are not liable for data loss resulting from your own actions (e.g. Reset All Data)
• Data is synced to cloud servers when online. If your device storage is wiped before a sync completes, locally unsaved changes may be lost. Regular CSV exports are your safeguard against this

Data Handling

Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8 Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inkapify expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of any content
• Warranties that defects will be corrected

9 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Inkapify and its developers, officers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from unauthorised access to your account
• Damages resulting from your reliance on information in the App or from Inka AI
• Service interruptions, bugs, or errors in the App
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (if any)

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

10 Termination

By You

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time, for any reason, without notice to us.

By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you except where doing so would be unlawful or harmful.

Effect of Termination

• Your right to use the App ceases immediately upon termination
• Your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy within 30 days
• Active Pro subscriptions will not be refunded upon termination for cause
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Sections 8, 9, and 11

11 Intellectual Property

The Inkapify app, including its name, logo, design, code, features, and content (excluding your personal data), is owned by Inkapify and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App
• Use the Inkapify name or logo without our written permission
• Create derivative works based on the App
• Remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

12 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the App's features, or applicable law. When we make changes we will:

• Update the Effective Date at the top of this page
• Post the updated Terms at inkapify.com/terms
• Send an in-app notification for material changes

Your continued use of the App after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.
